“Oh, definitely,” Rachel replied with a small smile on her face, resting her head on Quinn’s shoulder. It would never cease to amaze her how well their bodies fit together, like puzzle pieces, or…really good Ikea furniture. Add that to the list of things she absolutely adored about Quinn Fabray, her girlfriend; the cute height difference. “Only the waffles though,” she said in an amused tone, her hand quickly finding its way towards Quinn’s, interlacing their fingers together. “I only wanted you to come over so you would bring me food. I’m sorry, I have to confess that it was my plan all along…yep.” she finished, a serious expression in her face that reflected in her voice, even though Quinn couldn’t see her.
That was one of the things Rachel loved the most about them. The domesticity. It had always been there though, she guessed it was because they were neighbors, but then again, she never had that kind of relationship with any of her other neighbors either. It had been a little scary for her the moment she came to the realization that she actually loved Quinn. Like, actually loved her. Of course now she could laugh about the five minutes freak out she had in her room, now that she had some little time to process it — and how come Brittany knew and she didn’t say anything? She should have at least said something to Rachel. Something among the lines of “Rachel, you’re kind of in love with Quinn”, after all it shouldn’t have been a surprise that her best friend would know her better than she knew herself. It still was a little scary, but it was moments like that one, simply lying on the couch while eating something and watching TV that made it all worth the headache.
Rachel pecked Quinn’s exposed shoulder just because (and god bless tank tops) and rested her chin in the same spot, looking up at her girlfriend. “Are you staying tonight? I know we haven’t been keeping our routine much, not with you going to jail and stuff,” she commented, rolling her eyes. “And I know technically you should have stayed yesterday because today was your day off but…since you didn’t come nap with me this afternoon, I figured we could still cuddle.” Rachel knew she would guilt trip her the moment a pout formed on her face, but hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
Quinn pouted playfully at her girlfriend (something that she quickly picked up over time though it didn’t have nearly the same affect that Rachel’s did). “Well if I knew that before I would have dropped off the waffles and left,” she teased as Rachel’s hand found her own. ”But I’m glad I could come through for you. I’d gladly bring you food if I got cuddling time in exchange, and maybe kisses…” she smirked capturing her girlfriend’s lips in another kiss. ”Yes definitely those.” Quinn never thought she’d get used to this: the cuddling and the sweet talk. These things were staples of any relationship new or old but Quinn had never really been exposed to healthy relationships so she was just going by what felt right. She hadn’t gotten any complaints from Rachel so far though, so she figured she’d just continue doing what she had been doing all along.
The blonde’s eyes were cast downward as she saw Rachel press a gentle kiss against her shoulder. Something she noticed the brunette tended to do whenever they were exposed. Not that she minded she was just kind of blown away by the fact that she and Rachel were getting to know each other so well that she was able to pick up on these little details. She wondered if Rachel noticed little things like that when it came to Quinn’s actions like the way she’d enjoy pushing away the other girl’s bangs if they even threatened to cover up those dark brown eyes from Quinn’s gaze.
Quinn turned her head and kissed the side of Rachel’s head as she asked her question. ”That was the plan. I’ve missed falling asleep next to you,” she muttered before playfully rolling her eyes as her girlfriend mentioned her brief jail time. At least she didn’t seem upset by it anymore, or maybe she was using her suburb acting abilities and was just masking the fact that she was still upset. ”Let’s not talk about that,” she said with a scrunch of her nose. ”Cuddling time sound perfect though. We have like a weeks worth to catch up on,” she chuckled pulling the smaller girl onto her lap and straddling her hips. ”Should we get started now or are you fine right here?” She asked resting her hands on Rachel’s hips- their rightful place, and leaning up slightly to kiss the girl’s lips.
Apparently Rachel had forgotten that she had meant to tell Quinn something because she was back to kissing Quinn’s lips....
